Hello all! Quick and ultra casual post from the weekend. I started school and work has been very busy. I am going to put a couple outfit posts up through the week and put a little more thought into the outfits....this one was a total no-brainer.
Also, thank you to those who have stopped by and posted nice comments and sent sweet emails. SOOOOO appreciated! You guys are very encouraging!
There's not a more perfect day, than the days I spend with just my family. My husband and I have such hectic schedules, that to have these moments is everything. I thought it would be fun to head to the annual Applefest in Weston, which is a little town about 45 minutes northwest of K.C. I love those small cities tucked away with a lot of history. In fact, Weston is on the Lewis and Clark Trail, which is one of my favorite historical stories. Beautiful homes from the 1800's line many of the streets that surround the center of this little gem . A great day trip had by all! It was a pretty crisp afternoon, so I dressed for total comfort. Probably the most interesting part of my outfit, if interesting is even the correctword, was my favorite go-to Phillip Lim for Target bag (no longer available online or stores, but in abundance on Ebay) and Target quilted jacket I picked up recently.
I really love a great fitting tuxedo pant. I find it a bit challenging as a plus-size woman to find a pair that really suits me in fit and style. Alas, I found these Target, Mossimo pants ankle pants that fit me so well, I had to buy 4 other pair in different colors. The black and white tux pants, I scored on Ebay which were last season's from Sears. And while I am on the subject of Sears, I want to encourage you ladies, if you haven't already, to stop by a Sears or your local JCP to peruse the racks. These stores have quite a few gems for the fuller-figure. I know Sears and JCP may seem old school, but I'm telling you, they have truly stepped up their game in the women's department. I actually find items in JCP that rival ASOS any day! JCP also has some amazing clearance in their departments as the season's transition that shouldn't be missed.
